Lucknow: BSP released the name of the five candidates for the rest of the seats in the first phase of voting scheduled for February 10, and changed seven contestants in the list of 53 nominations stated on January 15.
BSP has named Zahir Malik from Thana Bhawan in Thana Bhawan in Shamli, Mohammed Dilshad from Meerut, Arun Kasana from Baghpat, Ajit Kumar Pal from Sahibabad and Mobeen Kallu Qureshi from Bulandshahr.
BSP also changed seven candidates two days before nominated archiving.
The party has deployed Kartar Singh Bhadana instead of Majid Siddiqui from Khatauli, KK Shukla at the Suresh Bansal place from Ghaziabad, Madan Chauhan not Mohammad Arif from Garhmukteshwar, Charu Ken replaces Prempal Singh Jatav from Kharah, SK Sharma, not Jagjeet Chowdhary from Mathura, Prabal Pratap Singh is not Sarvesh Baghel from Etmadpur besides replacing Murarli Lal Goyal with Abbas Shabbir in North Agra.
From here, Madan Chauhan was a former minister in the SP government under Mulayam Singh Yadav, while Prabal Pratap Singh was the former Chairman of Zila Panchayat from BJP.
Sharma SK also turned to BSP after denying tickets by BJP.
