The police, meanwhile, said that two policemen suffered a shot injury after Taufiq and the others had opened fire on the police party when they went to carry out attacks at the House of Taufiq in Babu Tara Village below the Lalgarh police station late on Saturday night.
The injured Constables, Satyam Yadav and Shri Ram Singh, were undergoing treatment at Pratapgarh Medical College.
Police Pratapgarh claimed that the Joint Team of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and Police Lalganj, acted on a tip-off that the criminals who were sought in hiding in a house in Lal Tara Village, had carried out an attack to call it Saturday night.
