Sultanpur: 45-year-old Sadhu allegedly beaten to death by three young men in a drunken country in the Baldi Rai area in the Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday.
The defendant was arrested in this relationship, they added.
Three young men Sandeep Yadav, Sampreet alias Bhullar Yadav and Kallu alias Munnu accused Sadhu (Saint) Badrinath Misra stole Rs 5,000, police said.
They demanded that he had to return the money and under the influence of liquor trigger that led to Sadhu’s death, police said, adding the incident to occur in the village of Hazari Anjer Murni on Saturday.
Rajaram Chaudhary’s circle officer said the police broke this case in 36 hours by arresting the defendant.
