Lucknow: The state government has identified 4,050 children who lose both or one parent or guardian to Covid-19 since March 2020.
These children will be given Rs 4,000 a month until they are 18 years old while the government will also take care of their dormitories, lodging , Schools etc.
Bal Seva Yojana was officially launched by Anandiben Governor Patel and Chairman of Yogi Adityanath Minister on Thursday with 12,000 Rs transfer to every child’s account.
Of the 4,050 beneficiaries identified, 240 are children who have lost their parents while 3,810 are those who have lost their parents or legal guardians for a pandemic.
CM said that he had asked the Women and Child Development Department to also identify children who had lost their parents for disease other than Covid or for other reasons so they could also get assistance from the country.
“During this period, some non-covid deaths will also occur.
As a government that is sensitive to its people, we must ensure that no child left without support.
Therefore, I have asked the Women’s and Child Development Department to prepare a separate list of children As such a child who has lost their parents with other problems too.
We also identify women who have lost their husbands, especially those who have been left without sources of income and will issue a special scheme for them, “CM announced.
Anandiben Governor Patel filed an appeal to the public to step out and help with the rehabilitation of children who had been left without family.
Demonstrate the government to plan life before the children affected by Covid and not only transferring funds to them, the governor said that children need someone to guide them.
“I have directed all universities to identify such students who do not have parents and adopt them.
This does not mean it only takes care of their costs but starting a program where one teacher can take responsibility of each child, call them home once a month, celebrate their birthday and be there for them when children need guidance, “he said.
He added that rising had several families like that who wanted to go forward and be responsible for such children.
Under Bal Seva Yojana, the government will not only provide Rs 4,000 a month for every child but also provides tablets or laptops to children in schools, colleges, or pursuing vocational education.
Children under 10 years old and have orphans will be placed at the home of the state of the state government.
At present, houses like functional in Mathura, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Agra and Rampur.
Little girls will be placed at the Kastba Gandhi girl who is run by the center or at the children’s homes run by the state government.
There are 13 houses like that in the state.
The government will also give them facilities to live in the upcoming Atal Housing School.
The government will also provide financial assistance of Rs 1.01,000 for women’s weddings.
