Lucknow: Class 1-8 students will be allowed to attend school only after written approval of their parents and those who want to learn from home must be permitted to do so, according to standard operating procedures (SOP) issued by the state government on Wednesday.
Junior class is set to continue from August 23 while the primary classes will be reopened from September 1.
According to SOP, only schools with high registration will be allowed to run in two shifts while others only have to do classes in one shift.
Schools have been asked to avoid functions and celebrations of festivals where physical distance is not possible.
The right sanitization must be done before and after school.
The government has directed the school to allow students to learn from home if their parents do not want to send them to school.
Follow-up about the progress of the learning outcomes of all students must be planned correctly by the school.
Releasing SOPs, the Basic Education Department asked school to prevent appreciation and incentives for attendance.
During the entrance tickets to new classes, only parents / guardians to be consulted and children will not be asked to accompany them as far as possible.
At least 6 feet of distance must be maintained between students and if there is a single seat table, the school must provide room 6 feet between them.
Similarly, physical / social distance must be maintained in staff, office and public areas.
In terms of small classrooms, classes can be held in rooms with more space such as computer rooms, libraries, laboratories etc.
where physical distance is possible.
There are no events that must be done where physical distances are impossible.
However, the school assembly can be done in the classroom or hall or outdoors under the student teacher’s guidance.
Before reopening, schools must collect self-declaration from students, parents and teachers regarding their health conditions and travel between countries or foreign recently.
Schools must display posters, signifying messages and in the appropriate places remind students about physical distance on campus.
The total ban on spit must be enforced on campus, SOP said.
At the sanitation front, the school must ensure a thorough cleaning of the campus and disinfectant furniture, equipment, and all parts of the campus and ensure the air flow in the room in the room.
No students involved in cleanliness and school encouragement have been asked to ensure water facilities, sanitation and waste management along with compliance with cleaning and decontamination procedures.
According to SOP, the school must ensure the right hand laundering facilities and the availability of thermometers, disinfectants and soap.
SOP also directs the school to ensure school transportation sanitation.
