Varanasi: A number of posters that prohibit the entry of non-Hinduism in Ghats along the Ganga appeared on the wall of the building along Ganga Ghats on Thursday.
These posters were inserted by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists.
The BD City Convention Nikhil Tripathi ‘Rudra’ said that through these posters a message was given to those who treat Ghats of Ganges as a picnic place.
“This is a warning for them to stay away from Ghats of Maa Ganga, because it’s not a picnic place but a symbol of culture,” he said.
VHP City Secretary Rajan Gupta also said that those who did not respect Sanatan Dharm should not come to Ghats and temples.
“We welcome them if they show respect for Sanatan Dharma,” he said.
The posters also read that ‘it’s not a request but a warning’.
Previously, VHP and BD activists also had demonstrations and read out the Hanuman Chalisa in front of a church in the Chandmari area on the night of the New Year celebration.
