The election commission has advised the Panchayati Raj division it is prepared to conduct surveys between June 15 and July 3.
Additional primary secretary (Panchayati Raj) Manoj Singh issued the notification to the effect on Monday on behalf of the juvenile.
The telling, but failed to mention that the election for 826 kshetra panchayats.
Sources said the department will soon seek inputs in the panchayati raj directorate before issuing a notification.
Zila panchayat chairpersons to get 75 districts will be chosen by 3,050 members at a variety of districts.
Jaunpur has highest 83 wards followed by Sitapur and Lakhimpur Kheri that have 79 and 72 wards, respectively.
Gorakhpur, the home turf of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath includes 68 wards.
Sources from the SEC affirmed that a proper notification to get zila panchayat surveys will be issued on Tuesday and observers will be appointed.
The elections to get zila panchayat chairpersons has now become a prestige issue for most political parties, particularly the BJP that has decided to subject its own functionaries from zila panchayat wards.
BJP faces a stiff challenge by the competition, largely the Samajwadi Party.
The election also has gained importance of the BJP because it attempts to increase its footprint in rural areas of the country to have regional celebrations, SP and BSP, before this state assembly elections annually.
The problem is supposedly in the center of frenzied activities in the BJP camp through the recent appointments by party’s national general secretary (organisation), BL Santhosh, along with nationwide vice-president, Radha Mohan Singh.
BJP sources said the party had started back channel discussions with independent candidates who’d won an important amount of wards.
Their support for candidates supported by different parties will maintain importance in zila panchayat elections.
