PATNA: Using PM Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah holding a set of one-of-a-kind and team meetings with senior BJP leaders, that the party MPs from other nations and a few ministers, speculations are worried with potential growth of the Union cupboard in next couple days.
There’s a powerful buzz in Bihar’s political circles regarding the Possible addition of JD(U) members and rebel LJP MP Pashupati Kumar Paras from the Narendra Modi Cabinet.
Paras himself gave atmosphere into the speculations on Thursday when he first addressing a press conference in the state capital , reluctantly stated he would give up the place of the LJP’s ancestral board chairman after he’ll take oath as a Cabinet minister.
How Paras left his announcement it was quite apparent that he was confident about his addition in the Modi cupboard in the upcoming growth set of his former brother and former Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
Resources stated, Paras created an overnight coup from the party just after obtaining a business certainty on a cabinet berth in the NDA’s leading brass.
“As Paras has been advised since the LJP Communist party leader in the Lok Sabha from the Speaker, his entrance in the Modi cupboard as the LJP agent is cent percent supported.
He’s virtually awaiting the date of statement of oath-taking,” a mature LJP leader told TOI on Friday.
“Paras along with also three additional LJP MPs – Choudhary Mehboob Ali Kaiser, Veena Devi and Chandan Singh, who’d came Patna on Thursday to attend a celebration meeting, returned to Delhi on Friday in the Aftermath of likely political improvements,” LJP spokesperson Shravan Kumar Agrawal informed TOI on telephone from Delhi on Friday.
According to the Constitutional terms, the cap in the Union council of ministers will be 15 percent of the potency of the Lok Sabha, or 81.
At the moment, the Union cabinet has a total of 54 ministers such as PM Modi from the overall berth of 81.
So, Modi can currently contain 27 more people in their cupboard.
Now, there are just five ministers out of Bihar from the Union Cabinet.
All are in the BJP.
Of those five, two — Ravi Shankar Prasad and Giriraj Singh — are cabinet ministers, one (Raj Kumasr Singh is the minister of country Independent cost ) while others — Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Nityanand Rai — will be the ministers of state.
Of those five ministers — four hail by the Savarn band representing most castes of all Savarn class.
Even though Prasad hails from Kayastha community, Giriraj is in the Bhumihar community.
Raj Kumar is from Rajput and Ashwini Choubey in Brahmin community.
Nityanand Rai hails from Yadav community, an OBC group.
Sources in the BJP mentioned, the party direction today wishes to induct ministers from different castes particularly from Baniyas (trading area ) and scheduled castes, that have so far stay unrepresented in the country BJP quota.
Names of Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Modi and the BJP state president Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal do the rounds at the country political circles as front runner to the cabinet berth in the Centre.
Sources from the JD(U) stated the party president RCP Singh along with Munger MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh are the party’s initial option for the Union ministers, in the event the BJP offers just two cabinet berths into the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s celebration.
However, the JD(U) wants to send 1 member in the incredibly backward castes (EBCs), that are its own core Republicans, into the Union Cabinet.
Thus, the JD(U) needs at least three berths from the Modi cupboard during the upcoming expansion.
“When three births have been made accessible on the JD(U), titles of senior leaders such as Rajya Sabha member Ram Nath Thakur (who’s son of former CM Karpoori Thakur) and also Jehanabad MP Chandeshwar Prasad could be contemplated,” a senior JD(U) leader said, including the JD(U) will combine the Modi cupboard only as it will get a”commendable representation”.
Contacted, JD(U) nationwide spokesperson K C Tyagi told TOI any conclusion about the addition of JD(U) members at the Union cabinet could be obtained by the party leader and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.
“We shall allow you to know, in the event the party takes some conclusion concerning the Union cabinet,” he explained.
Critics of Bihar are optimistic of having least four berths — for LJP’s Paras, only one for BJP, also two to get JD(U) leaders — at the following expansion of their Modi cupboard.
