Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh products are promoted under one state government district, one product (Odop) is the place, literally.
The State Government plans to launch Odop products in the international market and plans are being carried out to showcase products in Dubai Expo 2020.
“There will be a large pavilion for odop in Dubai Expo to show off our traditional crafts and products in our foreign market.
Made not only to increase their visibility but also their market in foreign markets, “said the addition of additional secretaries, MSMEs, Navneet Sehgal.
“Odop has come out as an effective way of self-work promoted by the Yogi government by well-assigning that traditional crafts have great potential and the required craftsmen hold hands through many steps taken by the government,” he said.
He said the purpose of the Odop scheme was to encourage local crafts and local craftsmen and revive local crafts while increasing livelihood opportunities and work.
“Above the world, this is a known phenomenon but to improve the industry, especially the micro industry and smaller, the best way is to create a cluster and then do it, create infrastructure, to increase productivity, quality, packaging and market,” he said.
This department trains nearly 20,000 craftsmen every year from 75 districts in their existing trade so they can be informed about the latest technology.
“We have signed the MoU, agreements with national and international organizations to provide support.
We signed an agreement with the Indian Packaging Institute to help improve packaging skills,” said Seharal.
To alleviate the difficulties of these craftsmen in the sale of products, the department has signed the MoU with Amazon and Flipkart to help them market their products.
“We have also created our own e-marketplace, Odop E-Mart, where these craftsmen are up to sell their products through e-commerce portals,” he added.
