Hyderabad: Upset with chronic diseases of his two children, a home wife strangled them to death and tried to end his life in Sanga Reddy on Friday.
The deceased is Rudransh (6) and Devansh (4), children of Bank Shiva Shankar employees, from Shanti Nagar, Reddy City Sanga.
According to the Sanga Reddy Police Inspector B Ramesh, while Rudransh suffered from chronic kidney disease, his younger brother suffered several other health complications.
“When both children get treatment at the Hospital company in Hyderabad, family financial conditions deteriorate,” the inspector said.
On Friday afternoon, when Shankar was in the office, his wife Jyothsna suffocated their two sons at home and went to Lake Mahbub Sagar in Sanga Reddy to commit suicide.
“Before jumping into the water, he sent a selfie video to her husband.
However, the fishermen saved Jyothsna and she rushed to the nearest hospital,” said the inspector.
The body of the two children was shifted for postmortem.
