UPTREND in the Covid case in Punjab for 5th consecutive WK

Chandigarh: Punjab returns to see the uptrend in the case of Covid-19 and has recorded a leap at the infection rate for the fifth week in a row.
The last kasel increased for five weeks or more in a row after the parade when the country was hit by a deadly second wave.
This trend is synchronized with a fear of surge in cases expressed by health experts during the celebration season.
The level of infection jumped by 16% from October 7-13 when 156 people had contracted the virus to 181 individuals to get infection period 4-10 November.
Previously, new cases fell for 19 weeks in a row from 29 weeks with the only exception was 5-11 weeks in August, when 412 cases appeared – 93 more than the previous week.
During the last week assessment, the level of the 11th district is higher than the country’s average, which is still within the allowed limits.
The districts that recorded a rise in the pace of peposititivity were Mohali, Pathankot, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Amritsar, Ropar, Fazilka and Hoshiarpur.
The level of participants refers to the percentage of people who are positively Covid-19 out of the total tested.
Dr.
Rakesh Kumar Gupta, President of the Strategic Education and Community Health Research (SIPHER) associated the increase in cases by opening activities during the celebration season and those who need necessary precautions.
He urged health authority to ensure that people follow the behavior that matches Covid so that the pandemic remains under control.
Punjab Covid-19 Nodal Officer Dr.
Rajesh Bhaskar admitted that there was an increase in the number of cases in the past few days, but showed that the cases did not come in groups.
“However, if the case continues to increase in the coming days, it will accelerate the spread of infection,” he added.
Apart from the trend of rising in case, there has been a decrease in the number of areas identified as a micro detention zone and a large outbreak zone in the state.
The micro detention zone count has dropped to only two one one in Amritsar and Ropar – where the 148 population is under supervision.
There are no areas intended as large outbreaks.
The micro detention zone refers to areas that have 5-14 cases.
