WASHINGTON: The United States has stopped all of the US-bound Evakakare flights from two main bases abroad for “health security issues” that are not determined, a move to warn will have a severe impact on evacuation operations, according to government documents seen on Friday Associated Press.
US customs and border protection made decisions about the recommendations of controlling centers and prevention of disease to stop flights from US bases in Germany and Qatar, according to documents.
The US has screened and processed other evables on two main sites abroad and others after evacuating them from Afghanistan.
Stopping flights is a problem for the United States partly because many Evakakes have been at Ramstein’s military base longer than the 10th German limit set in allowing the US to use the country as a transit site.
The US document was seen by the AP, said that Halt would “have a severe impact” operation at US bases in Germany and had “bad effects” in nearly 10,000 refugees in Ramstein, many of which had more than 10 days and even more tired.
The US State Department did not immediately respond to a request for a comment.
