KEY WEST, Florida: – Some people are dead and 10 others are still missing after a ship travel from Cuba overturned close to the Florida Keys, officials said Thursday.

Coast Guard responded to a place several miles away Key West about 1 pm later crews on regular patrol seen multiple individuals within the water, according to the agency.

The survivors reported they abandoned Puerto de Mariel, Cuba, on Sunday and capsized Wednesday afternoon, the Coast Guard said in a statement.
The natives were moved into a Coast Guard boat to get water, food and medical care, according to officers.
“We shall continue to look throughout the night for individuals reported lost, and when any mariners hear or see something, to render help if possible and also contact with the Coast Guard,” said Key West command centre manager Senior Chief Seth Haynes.
Police did not immediately say which sort of ship the people were traveling .
