US Consulate to Train Women Entrepreneurs in Jharkhand & Bihar

Ranchi: The Consulate General of the United States (US), Kolkata, in partnership with Startup India, an Indian government initiative, and Aroh New-Delhi Foundation along with the US-funded Nexus Start-Up Hub, New Delhi, aimed at promoting entrepreneurial skills, especially Among Jharkhand and Bihar women.
This program will be implemented based on the global global Prosperity Prosperity (Academy for Wekpreneurs “global initiative.
While inviting applications for this program, a statement issued by the Consulate said AWE will support certain groups of 90 prospective female entrepreneurs and business owners early stage of Jharkhand and Bihar By giving them US-style online education.
They will also be guided by US State Department alumni, local businessmen and other partners.
The selected participants will join the AWE network that will support participants’ access to the Peer-to-peer business matters of business partners.

In phase two, women entrepreneurs will undergo online dream programs from the University of Arizona.
In phase three, high potential female entrepreneurs will be identified and proceed to Kolkata for training camps and pitching sessions.
At least six female entrepreneurs will receive AWE credit worth $ 5,000 dollars and incubation support in one of the state incubators.
The Acting Consul General Monica Shie said, “Kolkata’s US consulate is committed to strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystems in East India, with special emphasis on women’s empowerment.
Our women’s academy business program has proven success in the Northeast and I am happy that we can now bring this program to Bihar and Jharkhand.
