WASHINGTON: US State Deputy Secretary Wendy Sherman will clarify Chinese officials in talks in China that the United States welcomes competition with Beijing, but there needs to be a level of play and fence and parameters in relationships, said senior US government officials on Saturday.
Officials, briefings ahead of Sherman’s conversation in Tianjin with members of the Chinese Council and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and other officials, said the two largest economies in the world needed ways responsible for managing competition.
