WASHINGTON: The United States on Monday said it would expand restrictions on its land borders with Canada and Mexico which present unnecessary trips such as foreign tourism even though Ottawa’s decision to open its borders to Americans.
Canada on August 9 began to allow US visitors who fully vaccinate for unimportant trips.
The United States continues to extend extraordinary restrictions in Canada and Mexico every month since March 2020, when they are charged to overcome the spread of Covid-19.
The latest monthly extension passed October 21, the Coordinator of the White House Covid-19 Jeff Zients told reporters on Monday.
