US General, Head of the Sir Army Discuss the Security Situation in Pakistan, the surrounding area

WASHINGTON: General Mark Milley, Chair of his own head of staff held a telephone conversation with the Chief of Staff of Pakistani General Qamar Javan Javan Bajawa and discussed problems that had a common interest in Pakistan and the region.
“Chairman of the Chief Joint Staff General General Mark A.
Milley spoke with the Chief of Staff of Pakistani General Qamar General Javed Bajwa by telephone today,” said a Joint Staff spokesman Colonel Dave Butler in a statement.
“Senior leaders discuss items that have shared interest, including the current security environment in Pakistan and the region,” he added.
This telephone conversation took place in the background of the US Drawdown from Afghanistan and the end of the 20-year military presence in a war-hit.
In the past few days, US official officials have held talks with leaders and stakeholders around the world about problems regarding developments in Afghanistan.
Previously on Tuesday, the Head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin spoke with Emir Sheikh Qatar Tamim bin Hamad and discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan after withdrawal of US troops from the country after 20 years of military presence.
Besides Qatari Emir, Austin spoke with several foreign leaders by telephone to thank them for their assistance in the withdrawal of US military forces and a risky Afghan evacuation from the war-hit by war.
Austin has a telephone conversation with several world leaders including Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Norwegian Defense Minister Frank Bakke-Jensen, UA Mahkota Prince Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, Minister Defense Canada Harjit S.
Sajjan and Germany Annegret Defense Kramp-Karrenbauer.
The situation in Afghanistan has deteriorated after the Taliban controlled the country hit by a war.
On August 15, the Afghan government fell immediately after President Ashraf Ghani left the country.
