Washington: Deputy Secretary of the US State Wendy Sherman and his colleagues Japan and South Korea are committed in talks to deepen trilateral cooperation in the climate crisis, respilemi pandemic, economic resilience and recovery, US State Department in a statement.
Sherman met with Deputy Foreign Minister Mori Takeo and South Korean Foreign Minister, Choi Jong Kun in Tokyo, said a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ally said also discussed their shared commitment to work towards the full denuclirization of the Korean Peninsula and their intention to overcome the threats posed by North Korean nuclear and ballistic missiles programs.
It is said that they also reaffirm the opposition to activities that weaken the rules-based international order and emphasize the need to defend inclusive, free and open indo-Pacific regions.
