US Looking for Four Years in Prison for Capitol Rioter ‘Qanon Shaman’

WASHINGTON: The US Capitol Riolus was nicknamed “Qanon Shaman” because his horned head dress arrived at the Federal Court on Wednesday to face a judge who could punish him for more than four years in prison for his role in the January 6 attack on the former followers of President Donald Trump.
The prosecutor asked our district judge Royce Lamberth to force a 51-month sentence in Jacob Chansley, who plugged guilty in September to block the official process when he and thousands of others stormed the building in an effort to stop President Joe Biden’s election.
.
“Criminal acts that are now famous in Chansley have made it public faces from Capitol Riot,” Prosecutor said in asking for a sentence of 51 months.
It would be the most rigid in Rioter Capitol, after a former martial artist plugged into a police officer during violence was sentenced last week https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-longest-longest- prison-sentence -thane-Capitol-Rioters-2021-11-10 to 41 months in prison.
Chansley’s lawyer has asked the judge for the time penalty presented for their clients, who have been detained since his January arrest.
He appeared in court at a dark green prison jumpsuit, with a beard and shaved head.
While in detention, Chansley was diagnosed by prison officials with temporary schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety.
When he entered his guilty request, Chansley said he was disappointed, Trump had not forgiven him.
Trump was used by the House of Representatives and was released by the Senate on charges of inciting January 6 riots for fiery speeches that preceded him where he told his followers to “fight like hell.” Four people died in violence.
A capitol police officer who had been attacked by the demonstrators died on the day after the riots and four police officers who participated in the Capitol defense then took their own lives.
About 140 police officers were injured.
Albert Watkins defense lawyer said the US Navy in 2006 had found Chansley suffering from personality disorders but still declared “suitable for duty.” “We are optimistic.
We look forward to a good day,” Watkins said when he walked to the courthouse.
