Dubai: The US Navy said that Thursday saved five Iranians who were allegedly smuggling drugs after they burned their savings on a traditional sailboat off the coast of Oman.
The Navy released a recording of air supervision showing traditional vessels, known as Dhow, while sailing in the Gulf of Oman on Wednesday.
Those who are on the board pour the liquid, the possibility of acceleration, above the cargo holding the navy approach.
Smoke then poured from the ship after those who were on board apparently set fire, with an explosion shaking the ship.
The sailor from the USS Sirocco patrol craft then arrived, saved the men.
Seafarers also recover more than 1,745 kilograms (3,850 pounds) hashish, 500 kilograms (1,100 pounds) metamfetamine and 30 kilograms (66 pounds) heroin.
The Navy respects restored drugs worth $ 14.7 million.
The sailor believes that it only represents half of all the drugs on the push, with the rest burn or sink by ship, the CMDR said.

Five Iranians were saved from Dhow received medical care and had been submitted to the authorities in Oman, the Navy said.
One additional Iran on the Board, Dhow still disappeared.
Iran did not immediately admit the incident on Thursday.
The navy and allies in the region conducted anti-narcotics patrols throughout the entire Middle East water channel.
Smugglers often use Dhows to transport heroin from Afghanistan and other medicines calmly through the region.
