US President Joe Biden signed the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, for the 2022 fiscal year, which ratified $ 770 billion in defense expenditure, the White House said on Monday.
Earlier this month, the Senate and the House of Representatives chose tremendously to defense bills with strong support from the Democrats and Republicans for the annual legislation policy for the Department of Defense.
NDAA is closely supervised by extensive industrial plots and other interests because it is one of the only major laws that become law every year and because it discusses various problems.
NDAA has become law every year for six decades.
Authorized about 5% more military expenses than last year, fiscal 2022 NDAA is a compromise after intense negotiations between Democrats home and the Senate and Republic after traffic jam with disputes about Chinese and Russian policies.
This includes a 2.7% salary increase for troops, and more airplane aircraft and navy vessels, in addition to strategies to deal with geopolitical threats, especially Russia and China.
NDAA covers $ 300 million for Ukrainian security assistance initiatives, which provide support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, $ 4 billion for European defense initiatives and $ 150 million for Baltic security cooperation.
In China, the bill covers $ 7.1 billion for the initiative of the Pacific Prevention and Statement of Congress Support for Taiwan’s defense, as well as a ban on the Defense Procurement Product Department produced with forced labor from the Xinjiang Territory.
This creates a 16 member commission to study the war in Afghanistan.
Biden ended the conflict – so far the longest war in the country – in August.
