US President Joe Biden said we were on the right track in fighting Covid-19

WASHINGTON: President Joe Biden on Tuesday stated the confidence that the United States was on the right track in the battle of the Covid-19 pandemic, even when the country wrestled with a surge in infection triggered by the omicron variant spread rapidly.
White House officials said the situation was different from the previous stage of the pandemic because more people got protection from vaccination and booster shots.
“I’m sure we are on the right track,” Biden told reporters on Tuesday.
However, Biden admitted that he was worried about the steps where the virus spread throughout the world because, “it doesn’t slow down.” While Covid-19 caused by the omicron variant of Coronavirus has the potential to be less severe, health officials have warned that the number of infections that can pursue the hospital system, some of them have suspended elective procedures when they struggle to deal with improvements in patients and lack of staff.
The United States reported 1.35 million new Coronavirus infections on Monday, according to Reuters calculations, the highest daily total for any country in the world, driven by Omicron variants.
There were more than 136,604 people who were hospitalized with Covid-19 in the United States, exceeding 132,051 records set in January last year, according to Monday’s calculation.
A surge in cases has disturbed the school, which struggled with absent staff, teachers and bus drivers.
The redesigned Covid-19 vaccine that specifically targets the Omicron variant is likely needed, said the chief executive of Pfizer Inc.
on Monday, adding its company to have someone who is ready to be launched in March.
