Washington: The US has reported the first death because of the new Omicron variant of Coronavirus in Texas, according to health officials.
A man in the state of Texas US, who was in his 50s, was not vaccinated and previously had been infected with Covid-19, according to the release of Harris’s health.
This case is the first confirmed omicron death in the United States, CNN reported.
“The individual has a higher risk of severe complications of Covid-19 because of his status that is not vaccinated and has a underlying health condition,” said his broadcast.
Lina Hidalgo District Judge announced the death on Monday, said the man was 50’s.
