WASHINGTON: The US government cannot provide a definitive explanation of airborne phenomena seen by army pilots however has found no proof they are connected to extraterrestrial beings, according to two officials according to an intelligence report analyzing the matter.
The report brought to Congress later this month introduces several unexplained sightings in the last years which in some instances are recorded on television of pilots exclaiming about things flying in front of those.
The 2 people briefed on the report stated it found no evidence of an extraterrestrial connection and doesn’t indicate exactly what pilots have observed could be new technology developed by other nations.
Among those officials said there’s not any sign that the unexplained occurrences are out of covert US applications.
Both officials weren’t authorized to talk about the information openly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Findings of this report were published Thursday by The New York Times.
Congress in December took the Director of National Intelligence to outline and report to the US administration’s understanding of unmanned aerial phenomena, or even UAPs – better known to the general public as unidentified flying objects or UFOs.
The campaign has included officials onto a Defense Department UAP task force created annually.
The anticipated public release of the unclassified version of the report that month may amount to some standing record, not the last term, according to one official.
A Pentagon spokeswoman, Sue Gough, declined Friday to comment on news reports regarding the intelligence record.
She explained that the Pentagon’s UAP job force is”actively working together with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence about the accounts, also DNI will Offer the findings to Congress.” Even the Pentagon and Central Intelligence Agency have for years looked into account of aircraft along with other things in the skies flying in inexplicable rates or trajectories.
Even the US government chooses unidentified aerial phenomena badly given that the possible national security threat of an adversary flying publication technology on a military base or a different sensitive website, or the possibility of Chinese or Russian development exceeding existing US capabilities.
In addition, it is seen from the US army as a safety and security issue, provided that in several instances the pilots that reported seeing unexplained aerial phenomena were running combat training flights.
The report lack of business decisions will probably disappoint people expecting that the report given most Americans’ longstanding fascination with UFOs and also the possibility of aliens having attained humankind.
A recent story about CBS'”60 Minutes” further strengthened interest from the government accounts.
However, skeptics caution the movies and documented sightings have logical Earth-bound explanations.
Mick West, a writer, researcher, and long-lived of UFO sightings, stated he encouraged the army looking into some possible incursion of US airspace, notably from an adversary.
“Folks are conflating this problem with the notion that these UFOs show amazing physics and potentially even extraterrestrial beings,” West explained.
He added,”The notion that this is some sort of secret workforce or it is defying physics as we understand it, there is reallyn’t any great evidence for it.” Even the Pentagon last year declared a task force to research the problem and the Navy lately produced a protocol for the pilots to report some probable sightings.
And lawmakers in the past few decades have pushed more general disclosure.
“There is a blot on Capitol Hill,” Sen.
Marco Rubio, R-Florida, told”60 Minutes” at May.
“I suggest, a number of my coworkers are extremely interested in this subject and a few sort of, you understand, giggle if you bring this up.
However, I really don’t believe we could enable the blot to prevent us from getting a response to a very basic question”
