New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed the strong commitment of President Joe Biden to strengthen the Indian-US strategic partnership during the meeting with US Secretary, Antony Blinken.
“Nice to meet with our Secretary of State @SecBlinken today.
I welcome the strong commitment of the President of Biden to strengthen the Indian-US strategic partnership, which anchored in our shared democratic values and is a power for global good,” Prime Minister Tweeted.
Blinken called Modi after holding extensive talks with the Minister of External Affairs J Jaishankar.
Talks include various problems including situations in Afghanistan, Indo-Pacific involvement and Covid-19 response mechanisms among others.
Blinken also held talks with national security advisors, Ajit Doval, focusing on taking relationships with “next level”.
US Secretary arrived here on Tuesday night on a two-day visit with a broad agenda for talks.
This was Blinken’s first visit to India after assuming the cost of the US Secretary and the third by the official Biden government official after the ruling in January.
US Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin, visited India in March while our special envoys about climate change, John Kerry, traveled to New Delhi in April.
