New Delhi: Deputy Secretary of State of the US, Wendy Sherman, visited India from 5 to 7 October 2021.
He will be in New Delhi on October 6 and in Mumbai the following day before heading to Pakistan to meet senior officials there.
On October 6, Sherman will meet with foreign secretaries Harsh Vardhan Shringla to review the indian-US bilateral agenda and the results of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently to the US.
They will exchange views on regional problems related to South Asia and the Indo-Pacific region and contemporary global problems.
Deputy Secretary of the State Secretary and abroad will also participate in the Special Summit Session of the Indian Ideas held by the US-India Business Council.
Sherman will call the Minister of External Affairs and National Security Advisors.
His visit will be a useful opportunity to continue regular dialogue and further strengthening the Comprehensive Indian-US global strategic partnership.
Sherman, the highest US diplomat, will visit India after American senior officials including the Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Lloyd Defense Secretary Austin and Director of the CIA Bill lights up.
