NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday Talked to US Vice President Kamala Harris and Spoke”Continuing efforts to strengthen India-US vaccine Alliance.”

“Spoke to US Vice President Kamala Harris a while ago.
I profoundly enjoy the confidence of vaccine equipment to India within their US Strategy for Global Vaccine Sharing,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Twitter.
The Prime Minister also thanked Harris for its”support and solidarity in the US authorities, companies and Indian diaspora”.
“We discussed continuing efforts to further reinforce India-US vaccine alliance, and also the possibility of the partnership to bring about post-Covid international wellbeing and economic recovery,” he explained.
Following PM Modi, Kamala Harris talked to President Andres Manuel López Obrador of Mexico, President Alejandro Giammattei of Guatemala, also Prime Minister Keith Rowley, Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
“Harris informed all those leaders which US will start sharing the initial 25 million doses of Covid vaccines for their various nations and many others, as a part of US Administration’s frame for sharing at least 80 million vaccines internationally at the end of June,” senior adviser and primary spokesperson Symone Sanders explained.
Previously, US President Joe Biden laid out the way the United States might discuss some 25 million of a projected 80 million Covid-19 vaccine doses with the remainder of earth.
The United States will contribute almost 19 million doses of its Covid-19 vaccine throughout the COVAX center, ” he explained in an announcement.
During COVAX, some 6 million doses could visit Latin America and the Caribbean, a seven million to South and Southeast Asia and approximately 5 million to Africa.
The rest of the dosages, amounting to just over 6 million, could go straight in the United States to nations such as Canada, Mexico, India and Korea, ” he explained.
