WASHINGTON: The US Biden President struggled against serious losses of personal credibility and political capital after several statements in Afghanistan had contradicted – by his own government, by the US military, and with land reality.
Bumbleling through the White House press conference on Friday, Biden claimed that the US mission in Afghanistan was basically since Osama bin Laden was killed and Al-Qaeda “went” from the country, but Pentagon officials said soon after that Al-Qaida, and the country Islam, stays present in Afghanistan.
Administrative officials then loved the statement of the President who said that the meaning of Al-Qaeda has been relegated to the point where he no longer presents a threat to the country, but the critics caught the president to burden us.
Biden also suggested that Americans stranded in Afghanistan be able to get to Kabul Airport for evacuation without much trouble and the Taliban was working together, but the land report talked about an obstacle on the front of this with a sporadic attack on Americans who tried to reach the airport.
Panic Rose on Saturday, when the gate to Kabul airport was closed and the US Embassy warned US citizens to stay away from the airport, quoting “potential security threats outside the gate”.
US officials said the most serious threat was that the branch of the Islamic State Afghanistan would try the attack both of them would hurt Americans and damage the taste of Taliban control.
But it is unclear how his ability, which has been against the Taliban, is such an attack, the official said.
The warning instructed Americans still stranded in Kabul not to travel to the airport “unless you receive individual instructions from US representatives to do so”.
