Paracel Island is also Called Xisha at China and Hoang Sa at Vietnam.
The island chain is located about 400 kilometres (250 miles) east of Vietnam along with 350 kilometres (220 miles) south of China.
US Navy’s Seventh Fleet reported that the US forces normally function in close relationship with like-minded partners and allies”who share their dedication to keeping a fully free and open global order that promotes prosperity and security”.
China reacted harshly, saying the US had broken Chinese sea sovereignty and it’d stumbled the boat.
