Shreveport: A Louisiana woman accused of throwing her two children to a lake was indicted on charges of murder and attempted.
Ureka Rochelle Black, 33, from Shreveport, was charged with the second level murder in the death of Joshua Califal Black, 10 months old, the Parish Mortgal Office of the Caddo Parish said in Wednesday’s news release.
Confidence on the allegations will bring life sentences automatically in prison.
The big jury who was charged with Black on Tuesday also accused him of an attempted second level murder of the 5-year-old baby brother.
Confidence on the allegations will be sentenced to 10 to 50 years without parole, the trial period, or suspension of punishment.
The police said the two boys were thrown at Cross Lake on September 24, 2021.
Public Defenders Black did not immediately respond to emails who were looking for Wednesday’s comments.
Sister Black, Felicia and Pycolyia Black, told KSLA-TV in September that they were worried about Mental Health Black for some time, but she refused to be treated.
