Use a cellphone for official work only if necessary, the Maharashtra government told employees

Mumbai: Because Spyware Pegasus’s problem is being debated in this country, the Maharashtra government on Friday called on his employees to maintain the use of cellphones to the minimum during office hours, saying that the landline is preferred.
The command issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) said cellphones must be used only if necessary for official work.
The use of non-feather cellphones in the office slandered the government image, the command said, without reference to the spyware line.
Text messages must be used more if the cellphone must be used at all and the conversation through this device must be as little as possible, he added.
The use of social media through cellular devices during office hours must be limited, the government said.
Personal calls on cellphones must be answered by leaving the office, the code of ethics’ further.
The order also said that the conversation on the cellphone had to be “polite” and continued “in a low voice”, considering the people around it.
But calls from selected representatives and senior officials must be answered without delay.
Mobile phones must be in silent mode during the official meeting or in a senior official room.
Similarly, internet browsing, checking messages and use of mobile phones must be avoided on such occasions, the government suggests.
