LUCKNOW: Reviewing developments works in Ayodhya for the second time this month, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said the temple town should be developed as a sustainable city, an international tourist spot and a religious centre in keeping with the Sanatan tradition.
The CM discussed the preservation of water resources, intelligent traffic management system, protection of animals, construction of an outer Ring Road and other roads, solar projects, tree plantation and new employment opportunities.
For the widening of the road leading to the Ram Temple, Yogi said land acquisition should be done after consensus and arrangements be made to relocate affected shopkeepers and residents.
He said a utility duct should be in place for underground cabling and water pipes so that roads were not dug continuously for repair work.
“Heritage lighting should be done in the city.
The panch kosi, chaudah kosi and chaurasi kosi parikrama pathways should be developed keeping their religious significance in mind,” the CM said.
He directed tourism department officials to develop heritage, historical and religious spots in the city.
He asked the officials to identify and acquire land for various sects, institutions, guest houses etc.
Discussing the international museum project, the CM said it should be developed in keeping with “ancient pride” and modern knowledge.
He said multi-level parking lots with space for commercial activities should be developed at railway and bus stations.
