Washington: The US said it was against the use of spy technology in civil society, criticism of regime and journalists, even because it did not have certain insight into Pegasus’s problems in India.
“All ideas use this type of technology to civil society, or regime criticisms, or journalists, or anyone like that through extrawudicial ways always concern,” Acting Secretary’s assistant for South Asian and Central Asian affairs Dean Thompson told reporters during the conference here, on Friday.
On the last Sunday, the International Media Consortium reported that more than 300 cell phone numbers were verified, including two ministers, more than 40 journalists, three opposition leaders and one judge sitting in addition to a number of business people and activists in India can be targeted to hack through Pegasus Spyware.
The Indian government has denied all accusations of opposition to this problem.
