New Delhi: The Delhi government plans to improve the site Delhi.gov.in into a user-friendly general portal, which will unite 180 websites from different departments and institutions.
The portal in its new avatar is planned as a one-stop solution to overcome all Delhies needs with user-friendly features, such as login through social media accounts.
Although all websites related to the state government are connected to www.delhi.gov.in, users must visit many websites for different information because the main website directs it to the department.
The improved portal will be a one-stop source for all government information and services.
The government has waved the request for proposals (RFP) for design, development, hosting, operation and maintenance of Delhi countries and related websites.
“This portal aims to provide accurate information in various fields.
Easy access to information is the key to promoting good governance,” RFP documents stated.
With the launch of the portal, the Delhi government aims to have a single interface consisting of information about various government departments, such as education, health, transportation, environment.
Residents can also take advantage of information about government policies, including EV policies, tree transplants and anti-pollution.
The portal will function as a gateway for residents for all services and departments.
The main objective behind the enhanced portal and one roof is to ensure the information provided on the government’s website is easily accessible, understood, and shared with the public.
Therefore, all websites will also have features such as ready ‘instant facebook articles’.
The government also wants consistent information on various website departments, along with consistent appearance and nuances, which is missing now.
There will be one login for all government websites for citizens to residents they will have to register and enter through social logins through Google, Facebook, Apple, etc.
However, verification through the cellphone number will be mandatory whenever the new account is created.
After the upgraded portal was launched, all existing government websites would migrate there so that all Delhi government information was available in one place and consistently.
All services provided by the government will be available on the e-district website and the department will redirect applicants there.
Web sites and content management systems (CMS) must be built in such a way by the institution that data and information can be transferred from one department or server to another through a secure connection.
Agency to get along will also have to make sure all websites are compatible with 100% cellular with bi-language features.
E-forms on websites must also be “cellular responsive” and users can upload basic information and download forms, upload documents, photos, signatures, and other related information in the required language and send the form smoothly.
Building responsive e-form features will be part of the content management system.
Every time a form is sent, it will make a “form number” and send recognition on the user’s email ID with a form filled with a copy in the email.
