NEW DELHI: Even a panel on Monday urged using satellite tv to leading officials of the education ministry and the CBSE for bridging the instruction gap of pupils caused because of schools being shut in light of this Covid-19 outbreak, sources explained.
The panel decided to call officers in the ISRO in its second meeting.
Leading officials of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the instruction ministry deposed prior to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, chaired by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, on Monday.

The schedule of this meeting was”Strategies for bridging the instruction difference caused because of Covid-19 pandemic”.
The members of this panel, for example Sahasrabuddhe, underlined that efforts must be made to bridge the learning gap of pupils and strongly advised the usage of satellite tv like Doordarshan DTH since it’s more penetration compared to smartphones and doesn’t need internet centre, the sources stated.
Sahasrabuddhe emphasised that subject-wise courses may be broadcast on particular Doordarshan stations, even in regional languages, also it may be viewed by many pupils in remote locations, the sources stated.
The members of this panel stated this version was embraced by Gujarat and also Odisha as well as other nations may also employ it.
It had been determined at the meeting besides the officials by the education ministry, officials of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and many nations will be called in another meeting of this board to talk about using satellite tv to get bridging the learning gap of pupils.
