Bhubaneswar: E-office is launched at the Utkal University on Wednesday under the initiative 5T state government in an effort to make office work without power and ensure more transparency and greater efficiency.
Avaya Kumar Nayak, the word e-office has proven useful for long-distance work, especially during a pandemic.
“With the implementation of e-office, 5ts (transparency, technology, teamwork, time and transformation) can be achieved,” he added.
Kavita Roy Das from the National Informatics Center (NIC) said the e-office was a project under the national e-governance plan initiated in 2009.
“This has been developed by NIC and is being implemented through the Modernization Center for Government Initiatives (CMGI), a society Under the control of the General Administration Administration and the Government of the Government of Odisha’s public complaints, “he added.
Pravenshaw University in Cuttack is the first university under the Ministry of Higher Education to implement e-Office initiatives.
“Utkal University is a third institution to do so,” Sabita Acharya, Deputy Chancellor of the University of Utkal, said.
Official say digital files cannot be damaged.
“This E file cannot be wrong with a paper document.
If anyone wants to damage the file, the system will display a digital trace.
Sometimes the paper document is damaged in a fire accident.
But it won’t happen in the case of e-files,” he added.
