Bhubaneswar: The Minister of Higher Education Arun Kumar Sahoo on Tuesday inaugurated the Human Resource Development Building (HRDC) at the Utkal University here.
This institution will use this center to develop faculty and other training programs.
University of Deputy Chancellor Sabita Acharya said the teacher from college affiliates would get training in the HRDC building.
Even the orientation program for newly appointed university teachers will be done at the center, he added.
According to the registrar of Avaya Kumar Nayak University, RS 8.16 Crore has been approved for HRDC buildings.
The state government has provided these funds for infrastructure projects.
“This building has an auditorium, a small library, dining room, and other facilities.
This center will help us to do various training programs and orientations at universities,” he added.

This center will have a hostel to accommodate teachers and other people who will come to attend the program.
The construction work of this hostel project is underway.
Around RS 3 Crore will be spent on this.
The government has not provided a full number of sanctions for this hostel, a university source said.
The Minister has reviewed the progress of the project together with other development work.
He also discussed with university authorities about various institutional problems.
A senior professor said conducting a training program for many teachers at a time was not feasible in class.
Now this center can accommodate a big teacher meeting.
Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik has the Laid Foundation Stone for the HRD Center on April 28, 2017.
This building takes more than four years for completion.
