BHUBANESWAR: The PG council of Utkal University has taken a decision to hold second and final semester exams via online mode.
The exams are scheduled to be held next month.
Online classes are currently underway and it will continue till July 15.
Basant Kumar Mallik, PG council chairman of the university, said it has taken a decision to hold exams online because it is not possible to do so physically.
“Mid-semester exams will be conducted between July 15 and 20, while final semester will start from June 20 and end by month end,” Mallik said.
He said the schedule of the exams for particular subjects is yet to be finalised.
“Heads of the concerned departments will set the dates for the exams.
After they prepare the schedule, we will come up with the complete timetable,” Mallik added.
The university has around 400 affiliated colleges.
Regarding UG exams, Sharat Kumar Majhi, controller of examinations at Utkal University said they will inform the higher education department about the mode and strategy by June 18.
