CHITRAKOOT: Three policemen were hurt when villagers assaulted a police group in Mamsi village Wednesday if they moved there to prevent illegal mining.
On criticism of prohibited mining of sand by several farmers, some police team reached the village at pahadi region this afternoon.
They had been assaulted by the villagers by which police constables Pankaj, Deepak and Narendra were wounded, Superintendent of Police Ankit Mittal stated.
The injured have been rushed to a hospital, where their condition was stable.
The SP stated that 11 villagers are arrested in this connection and also a stunt will be on in the situation.
