BALLIA:”A 35-year-old guy was detained on Wednesday for raping a girl after giving false pledge to wed her,” authorities said.
“The guy, who hails from Mau district, had been about the run and has been detained after a chase of 2 and a half a year from close Garhwar tri-section here,” he stated.
The 22-year-old victim told authorities he invited her November 2018 on January 2019 and a case was registered in this respect at Nagra police station on August 17, 2019.
According to the complaint, the accused had been married.
He refused to marry the victim and threatened to kill her,” it stated.
