Kanpur: A 45-year-old man was paraded through the streets, when his small daughter accompanied him, attacked by a gang who accused him of religious repentance in the Barra Kanpur region on Wednesday.
He was later handed over to the police who said that repentance allegations of him seemed unfounded.
The police have ordered 12 people due to riots in the victim’s complaints, Afsar.
The police swung in action after the video clip of the incident showed that the man’s little daughter cried and tried to attach it and beg for mercy from a group of burners, going viral on social media on Thursday.
Video recordings also showed several men in a horde shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ after attacking Afsar.
The police said that Afsar was a relative of one of the three young men who were accused of persecuting their neighbor’s daughter recently.
A pine also lodged against them at the Barra Police Station in this matter.
The police stated that the girl’s family also made allegations of conversion to relatives of Afsar and demanded to add parts related to the ‘Strong repentance’ in FIR.
Then, they also met with local representatives and demanded him to instruct the police to submit a case against alleged persecutors in this matter.
The police, however, said, “Investigation with respect to conversion continues and the action will begin only based on evidence.” However, pursuing the same case, a group of local activists on Wednesday night had gathered in Chauraha Gopal RAM in the Barra area, pampering themselves in religious sloganeings and demanding to order conversion molester.
Then, see the relatively molester Afsar which allegedly passed along with his small daughter, they dragged him and beat him mercilessly.
The incident video was shot by several people who passed, which then made him viral on social media.

He also mentioned that the family of Afsar’s relatives and neighbors were also involved in property disputes.
“We have seen the video.
Based on complaints by Afsar, we have submitted FIR under the relevant and moderate parts of IPC in the process of identifying the compiler.
