Lucknow: A leading meerut ulama, who runs some Islamic confidence in North India and uses this as Garb to operate the largest illegal conversion syndicate of the country for 30 years, was arrested by anti-terrorist forces (ATS) on Wednesday.
The defendant, Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui, 62, received Mammoth funds from abroad, especially the Gulse Nations, through Hawala transactions, said Sumber ATS.
Siddiqui works closely with Gembong Umar Gautam and his accomplice of Mufti Kazi Jahangir Qasmi, who was arrested in June.
“We explore more than RS 1.5crore illegally diverted through Bahrain and Rs 3 years from other Gulf countries.
This transaction violates acts of foreign contributions (regulations),” said Director General of Police, law, and additional commands, Kumar Prashant.
The center of Dawah Islam in Jamia Nagar, Delhi, continues to be a central nerve, where scholars will direct the work of illegal missionaries with Umar and Mufti Qasmi.
And Shah Waliullah HIS in Delhi is the main front to route hawala money.
Other Siddiqui beliefs in Delhi and Haryana include the center of global peace and peace mission (Mustafabad), Madrassa Sabeel-US-Salam (Jamia Nagar), Dawat-e-Islam Trust (DEIT), MEKAT, and world peace organization.
Illegal missionary activities straddling Rajasthan, MP, UP, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana and Orissa, said Sources of ATS.
Inspector General of Police, ATS, Gajendra Kumar Goswamy, who has led the probe, said, “An English-based organization, Al-Fatah Trust, has been identified as a source of other major funds.

“The Siddiqui family, who originally came from the pholat in Muzaffarmagar, also played an important role in conversion racquets.
After completing his main education from the madrasa in the pholat, he pursued a medium study in science from Pickett Inter College, Khatauli.
Then, he graduated in science from Meerut College and broke the PMT entrance examination.
However, he gave up being a doctor and registered himself at Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow.
Previously, the anti-terror squad damaged the Nagpur syndicate and arrested Rameshwar Kawre alias Adam, Kaushar Alam, and Bhuriya Bando aka Arslan Mustafa.
Others in the police network including Gembong Umar Gautam, his accomplice of Mufti Kazi Jahangir Qasmi, a special translator of Noida Irfan Sheikh, Munna Yadav and Rahul Bhola.
In addition to Gujarat Employers Salahuddin Jainuddin and a Maharashtra doctor, Firoz Shah was also arrested.
