AGRA: 2 Rohingyas from Myanmar were Detained in Aligarh on Thursday for living in India illegally for the past several years on forged Papers by UP ATS.
The duo was allegedly involved with gold smuggling.
The accused had been identified as Mohammad Rafiq and Mohammad Aameen.
A United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) card, Rs 770 money, a cell phone and also six golden cookies weighing 137 g were retrieved from them.
Authorities continue to recoup the imitation Aadhaar cards utilized by them.
The authorities also assume the duo was included in hammering and providing Indian residency records for additional prohibited Rohingyas.
Both guys are reserved under IPC sections 419 (penalty for adulterous from personation) and 420 (cheating) and also the Foreigners Act.
Babloo Kumar, SSP ATS, told TOI that the duo is going to be produced from the courtroom and police remand is going to be searched to allow them to discover their nexus.
