VARANATION: Dethuth Directorate of Income Income (DRI) managed to recover 4641.43 grams of gold worth RS 2.28 Crore by capturing tripura-based smugglers from the trained train-New Delhi Rajdhani Express at the crossing of Varanasi on Thursday.
Dri Varanasi Senior Unit Intelligence Officer Anand Kumar Rai said that at receiving input on the movement of tax avoidance, his team consisting of intelligence officers Lekh Raj and others understood one passenger, which was identified as a Singha Sudip from Agartala in Tripura, from Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Expres when reaching Junction Varanasi.
When Dri Dethuth looked for Singha’s items, he said, 28 foreign golden origin 4641,430 grams worth of RS.

Dri won the restored gold in the Customs Act, 1962 by arresting Singha and sent to prison after being produced before the district court.
During the initial interrogation of Singha silencing that gold had been smuggled from Myanmar through the Medoh border in New Delhi.
