Noida: The illegal fire gun manufacturing unit has been damaged and one person was arrested in Hathras District Uttar Pradesh, police officials said on Friday.
The unit was founded in the cottage near Tubewell located on the farm outside Piparmai Village in the Hathras District Sadabad area, the official said.
Hathras supervisor of Jaiswal Police Vineet said around a dozen firearms, several firearms and unconnections that had not been arrested from the unit.
“The illegal firearms manufacturing unit was damaged during the attack by the Joint Team of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the local SADABAD police station,” he said.
“One accused, identified as Mahesh JAT aka Mahesh Singh, was arrested from that place.
He has a criminal history and a case that has been nestled against it in mathematics and murder,” he added.
Jaiswal said 10 pistols, three weapons and some unfinished firearms were confiscated from a place along with ammunition and manufacturing equipment.
A fir has been submitted in this case and further legal processes are taking place, police said.
