Lucknow: School bells call for elementary school children throughout the state after almost a half years on Wednesday.
The remarkable response from students on day 1, with more than 50% attendance is recorded.
Based on information from the Interactive Voice Response System (IVR), of a total of 39 Lakh students registered in class 1-5 in state-run elementary schools, 21 lakh children appeared on the first day.
“That number is produced based on midday food served to children,” said an official.
In schools, chats back with children enjoying themselves in the classroom in the middle of the Covid protocol-19.
Tiny Tots in Pratama managed state receives a warm welcome and is welcomed with balloons, flowers and chocolate by staff.
On his visit to elementary school, Makhdumpur, Minister of Education Minister Satish Dwivedi asked about children’s experiences.
The department, Dwivedi said, has appointed one Nodal officer in each district to function to school.
The school also gives a warm welcome to students.
While some bouquets of flowers and applying tilak on their forehead, the others showered the petals along with the distribution of masks.
“It is the most awaited moment for us.
Even children are eager to go back to school.
They play games, and are involved in a lot of fun and playing,” said Snehil Pandey, Principal in the Primary School model, Sohramau on Unnao.
