Uttar Pradesh: Order PCB Closure 145 Kilns Bricks on Etawah

Kanpur: The pollution control board has ordered the closure of 145 brick kiln units in Etawah.
Notifications have been spent for 145 units of brick kiln when these unit operators have not bought a license from the board to run their units.
The High Court has expressed displeasure on this issue and directs the state government to stop the operation of the kiln, said the source of the council.
There are almost 175 brick kiln units currently operational in the Etawah district.
The main setback is with a brick kiln installed before 2012 because they do not have a pollution control board license.
Now, after the sequence of a high court, all brick kilns will be checked by regional managers, Firozabad pollution control boards.
Orders have been given to close the kiln which is operational without a license.
The Board has issued a strict guideline for the brick kiln which was founded in 2012 or before.
According to the guideline, along with the increase in green cover on the edge of the brick kiln, the emphasis is also placed on adopting modern steps to reduce pollution.
In accordance with the guidelines, the owner of the Kiln brick does not pay attention and continues to run their units.
Suresh Arora, Secretary of the Batak District Kiln Association, meanwhile said that the closure of brick kiln will have a significant impact on the district industry.
“Employment produced through a brick kiln will be seriously affected.
The authorities must consider this aspect,” Arora said further.
“There are 145 kilns of bricks operating in the Etawah district that have not taken the pollution control board license,” said Manoj Chaurasia, regional manager, pollution control board, Firozabad.
“The order has been given by the government to close all these units.
Notifications have been issued for all of them.
Those who will comply with the guidelines, will be excluded and allowed to run their units,” Chaurasia said further.
