Lucknow: Because the election, getting closer, the Yogi Aditentalath government is speeding up various schemes and development to take them to the ground as early as possible.
The latest project on the government list is the first medical device park up where 350 Acre Land has been identified by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida).
The garden is estimated to take advantage of RS investment of 5,250 crores and tend to provide jobs to more than 20,000 people, as soon as it operates.
This park is said to be the biggest first and North Indian.
“Park medical devices, which will have an incubation center in the land of five hectares, will prove to be a gift for startup.
For the incubation center, Yeida has signed the MoU with IIT-Kanpur,” said a government spokesman.
The chairman of the Minister of Yogi Adityanath has written to the central government to sanction one such park in Noida or Lucknow.
In the letter, CM said that a medical park in Noida or Lucknow would be worthy of everything.
Pitching for Noida, CM said the upcoming international airport will provide connectivity directly to the medical device park.
CM requests a center for sanctions for bulk medicines or medical parks upwards.
Replies from the central government are still awaited, said source.
Although the Indian medicine industry ranks third in the world, the country depends on other countries for raw materials for several drugs.
For some drugs, dependence is from 80-100%.
Since the Coronavirus pandemic hit the country, there has been a natural shortage of raw materials.
After this that Niti Aayog, the Ministry of Health Union and the other department concerned decided to make India ‘Atmanirbhar’ (Mandiri) in this field and give impetus to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Make In India’.
“Yeida has allocated 350 Acre Land in Sector 28, Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida).
The medical park the device will appear in two phases,” said an official.
