Prasagraj: Dharam Suta Navin, a teacher in Kendriya Vidhyalaya (KVS) at Old Cantt, Bag Prayagraj Van Mahotsav Award in the ‘My City Green City’ (photo) competition by the State Forestry Department on Wednesday.
This award was given by the Minister of Forest of State of Dara Singh in a function held at Lucknow on Wednesday.
Navin told TOI that online entries were sought by the Ministry of Forestry on the theme of Van Mahotsav in various categories including ‘City Green City’ (Photo Contest), ‘Mera Ped’ (Tree) ‘Mera Sathi’ (Video Contest), Essay in Biodiversity at Biodiversity India, posters and slogan and plantation competitions on the June 5 contest during the second wave covid locking period.
He further added, “We have sent photos and videos under my green town (photo contest) and Mera Tree Mera Sathi (Videocontest).
We received a call from the Forestry Department on Tuesday where the caller told me that the photo was given the first prize in My Green City City category “.
Navin has captured green photos and videos that spread inside and around his house and send it to two different categories.
Dharam Suta Navin with his daughter Navpunnya Navin (a class IV student at a city-based school) received an award in the state capital on Wednesday.
