Kanpur: In Faux Pas which can cause serious medical complications, health officials at Uttar Pradesh provide two doses of Covid-19 vaccine to a 70-year-old woman in a few minutes.
The incident took place in a crowded vaccination camp in the Jalaun block on Thursday.
The report said two counters were established to manage vaccines to local residents in Jayagha Blok.
While people are waiting for their turn after registration, one Bhagwati Devi, wife of Mahendra Singh, given a vaccine dose at the first counter.
When he will leave, an employee asks him to collect certificates / cards from the second counters.
When the woman asked for a card from an employee who was vaccinated there, they said it would be given after giving a dose.
Within minutes, a female employee gave a second dose of vaccines to parents.
When he told them that he had taken a dose, the chaos won in the middle.
Then, the condition of the old woman began to deteriorate and the staff present there sent it to the nearest public health center.
His condition, however, is now stable.
Nd Sharma, Chief Medical Officer, Jalaun, confirmed the woman mistakenly gave two doses of covishield.
Collected district vaccination Dr.
Sanjeev Prabhakar said that negligence would not be tolerated and the action would be taken after identifying employees who were part of the team that manages the vaccine dose.
However, he added, “The woman’s situation is normal and there is nothing to worry about.
Double doses cannot damage people who are vaccinated because their duties only increase immune.”
